JeroenB Posts: 15 Rating: (2)	Hi, I have this configuration of hardware and software: - Step 7 V 5.4 - CPU 313C 2-DP (latest version) onboard 16 DI/O - CP 343-1 LEAN (latest version) 1CX10 - PC adapter MPI/DP for USB I want to use the CP 343 to have connection with a WinCC 6.0 SP4 system. I have this problem: when i do the hardware configuration WITH the CP connected, i cannot download the configuration using MPI. This message appears: Online: BUS faulty. I can do the configuration of the PLC with profibus, but then the configuration of the CP is not carried out completely because you need the MPI (or Ind. ethernet) to do the configuration. But when i do the configuration without the CP connected: there is no problem. So probably there is a bus fault trough the backplane of my system when the CP is connected. Anyone who can help by configuring my configuration?? rgrds JeroenB

For example do you completely clear the RAM and the FLASH memory of the CPU? Just to start with. Would you please explain all that? Best regards J_Bell

JeroenB Posts: 15 Rating: (2)	Ok, i will try to explain as clear as possible: - i recieved the new components, unpacked them, installed the the CPU + CP on the rack (plus backplane connection between CPU and CP). Inserted MMC 128kbyte in CPU. - open hardwareconfigurator and put together all hardware. CPU 313 C 2DP 313 + CP 343-1 lean (-1cx10). I have setted my PG/PC at PCadapter/MPI. I download the hardware. but he cannot reconize the CPU. So i push "view" and then following message appears: Online: BUS faulty. -When i do the same thing for a configuration without the CP, there is no problem. So this was 1 problem. Second problem: I have also another CPU 317 2 DP/PN, so i tried the samething with this one. I can download the hardware configuration to the PLC. The PLC now gives an SF and went in stop. I look in the diagnostic buffer of the PLC: -Parameter assignment error assigning parameters to modules(not on P-bus cancel download).No relevance for user SDB 1003 Is this enough information? rgrds JeroenB

JeroenB Posts: 15 Rating: (2)	Well, actually, i have no other CP. So i cannot test it. Maybe another thing, i can connectwith NCM diagnose (Set PG/PC as ISO ind. ethernet) to the CP module. So is ther some important information to look for? rgrds JeroenB

J_Bell Posts: 5822 Rating: (412)	Well... ... the Lean CP, as the one you have, does not support the ISO Transport Protocol. In this case you will have to use the TCP Protocol, with its automatic add on ISO on TCP.This allows you the Special Diagnostics features. I would check in this special case the Diagnostics buffer and maybe the History buffer. Best regards J_Bell

mattc Posts: 9 Rating: (0)	which gsd file are you using as i can only find a profinet i/o one online which doesn't allow me to use the card with a processor (315-2dp). i have tried the hw update also with no luck.

JeroenB Posts: 15 Rating: (2)	Hi, I use S7 V5.4 SP1, so the module is integrated in the component-list. I've checked the newest HSP on the support site, but i think it only supports the 1CX00, but i'm not sure. I dont know how you wanna use the CP card, but if you wanna use it as 1CX00, i think you can configure the 1CX10 as 1CX00....that's what people from Siemens support told me.[:)] rgrds JeroenB
