Rooprai Advanced Member Joined: 1/30/2009 Last visit: 8/12/2025 Posts: 18 Rating: (1)	Hi We had a power outage, after this the masterdrive showed E, we power cycled and drive ran. We get nuissiant trips on F243 (which is for internal linking). We are waiting on a new board. Siemens tech support told me that is the board is faulty. I am not fully convinced. Anything else that cause nuissiant trips on F243? We have 3 other masterdrives on the same power feed. Those drives are ok and the power outage had no effect on it. Can i check anything else? Please advise. Thanks.

Either way, the fault is not that common. Anyway, as per the manual, it recommends replacement of the CU. Regards, Graeme

IVI is interfacing card - this card is used for interfacing control cicuit and power circuit PSU - is power card - this card gives power supply required by control circuit (24V) You can read more detailed description of hardware basics of master drive from following thread /tf/WW/en/Posts/21854 - And regarding your doubt about CU faulty or not - for that you can just try swapping CUVC from faulty drive to healthy - if fault is also swapped than CUVC faulty otherwise you need to check further Regards, Devesh Vithani

Machine ran for 15 mins and stopped on F243.I could not reset the fault initially. But then i disconnected the X9 plug. The display was still lit up with F243. After connecting and reconnection few time, the display went off after removing X9. After ward i was able to reset this fault. Then i changed P357 to 1.3ms. Now i also want to remove some other overhead time. Questions: 1. How do i analyze r829? 2. How do i find out if U950.14,15,24,25 can be reduced? I can't seem to find out how to check wha is meant by "second CB/TB" and "SST2". I only have the CUVC board. Nothing left to this board. 3. Also as per manual, what is an "-A10" board? They change P357 to 1.3ms from 1.2ms to reduce cpu load and it worked. (the other parameters are also there to reduct CPU load). I know it does not make sense but when there are intermittent issue happening, you have to try different things,. And if you look in the manual for the F243 fault, it says replace CU(-A10) boards or change the drive.

What is internal linking? I am guessing it is a bus network between CU and A10 board? Where is this A10 board?

Ok I read other posts you mentioned In those posts, they suggested to reduce Load For that, Sampling time in U950, U952, U953, U954 should be set to 20 to disable all unused Free blocks. Please have a look at snap shot attached. This will stop calculating free blocks everytime and load on processor will be reduced Ans for 3- A10 is CU itself which you already replaced Hope your problem will be resolved by changing those times Regards, Devesh
