NORM_X and SCALE_X are Siemens instructions, as mentioned above I'm using an Allen-Bradley Controllogix PLC. I'd agree with you otherwise, but when doing math instructions conversion to real is implicit in AB

I figured out the scaling problem: Turns out the drive displays p2006 in degrees F, and I enter it in degrees F, but the temperature values need to be scaled by the equivalent value in Celsius.  For example, I enter 311F into the drive, and it displays that as the parameter when online, but for scaling to work properly in the PLC I need to use 155C as the scale factor. 

I had asked a few additional questions previously regarding the motor temp model, not sure if this should be a separate question but modifying them and re-asking them here:

1) Stator Overtemp p0627 is the only overtemp setting I can change in the extended parameters (other than the motor temp fault and alarm thresholds (p0604 p0605)), and this value is specified as 80K "referred to the ambient temperature".  I don't understand this last part, does this mean it is 80K above the ambient temperature entered in p0625?

2) I have commissioned the drive in vector mode, and it looks like a number of the motor model parameters are only calculated if p0340 != 0.  The list manual wording is slightly ambiguous, is p0340 parameter relevant for vector mode also?  It was set to zero when I commissioned it, should I have it set to something else?

3) The motor weight p0344 seems to have been calculated somehow (there is a value there), it is half the actual weight of the motor.  Is this something I should modify, or is this somehow calculated (even with p0340 = 0)?  If I should modify it, should it be the actual weight of motor including frame?

The CU is a 240E-2.  As mentioned, I have already referred to the list manual and it was not helpful in answering the questions I listed.  Some of the questions actually refer to the list manual being unclear in its wording.
