The situation now that the person who store and managed the password is lost and unknown. Although we have the backup project but we can't download / online CFC. Kindly advise the step to recover the project so we can download / online CFC again. Please inform me if the question is not clear

However, all online data will be lost. Hello Thunderstorm, The password we meant is Safety Program Password (the ones that asked every time we want to online in CFC / download the program) We also don't know the CPU password but we think it can be solved by factory reset and later download the project if we know the Safety program password. Any idea to for this situation?

Techno_Taru Silver Expert Joined: 1/11/2019 Last visit: 11/24/2025 Posts: 899 Rating: (171)	Hello Gun, First Step: Do a Factory reset as Thunderstorm suggested to make ready PLC with new password and Second Step: Export the HW-config and import it in a newS7-station Assign a password in CPU properties -> protection tab and check 'CPU contains safety program' Compile HW-config. Copy the user program blocks (not all blocks, just the blocks with the user logic, not the system generated blocks) to the new project now you can assign a new F-runtime group with a new password...the password is not copied to the new S7-station. Compile the safety program There you go with the new offline project
