Hello guys, I have an S7-1212C (Client - Active) and I am trying to send a string through TSEND_C to my PC (Server - Passive). The block does not return any errors and the status remains 7002. Does somebody has encountered this kind of situation before? I have used this block quite few times but never had this problem.

I am using the bit M200.5 to be sure that the DONE output is never on. For the TCP server I tried using MultiWay, EtherWay and my Python script, but none of them seems to get even the connection from the PLC.

Any suggestions?

That was a very valuable tip! After using a MOVE instruction to store the error code in a DB I was able to see that the TSEND_C was outputing the 80C6 which means that Remote partner cannot be reached.

Now I can at least troubleshoot what might be happening. Probably this laptop has a firewall that is blocking the PLC. I will check and answer this thread as soon as I find the issue!

Hi alex-macabu,

at first i would recommend to extend the program (error + status) as described in following FAQ.

Otherwhise a "potential" error with its status can not be seen the way it is used at the moment.

How do you evaluate the status of system blocks in STEP 7 (TIA Portal)?

 

Please check afterwards, if there is another status written into the seperate static tag.

What do you mean by buffer type? I am trying to send a string, inside a non-optimized DB. The LEN parameter is 0.

no important informations about connected status? On other side because this info is missing, I expect problems in wrong SEND block cfg, buffer type. From your picture is also not clear what other parameters you have set like LEN (important). What is structure of your send buffer?

Turns out that after a power cycle on the PLC side everything worked well...
