Unfortunately I-device does not support S2 redundancy. I hope that it will be refined in the near future. For now, the solution of communicate S7-1200/1500 with S7-400H via ethernet is using PUT/GET functions.

 is this still the only solution?

I'm also looking for clarification on this.

Presumably, an S7 PLC which does not support S2 system redundancy cannot be configured as an S2-capable I-Device.

Is there no I-Device capable of S2 communication, including S2-capable PLCs such as the S7-1500H/R?
