PROFINET to OPC UA

aktsarabdikar Posts: 22 Rating: (0)	Hello, I'm having difficulty trying to integrate SCADA Moviconnext to Siemens PLC S7 1200 because of communication protocol. Since profinet is used for siemens inter device communication, in my case, PLC and HMI. Is there any way that I can do to change or make my network protocol, in my case is profinet protocol, compatible to third party manufacturer, in this case is SCADA Moviconnext? Thank you in advance

However, since you mentioned OPC UA, I assume that you need OPC UA functionality for your S7-1200 PLC. Starting with TIA Portal V16 and firmware version V4.4, the S7-1200 CPUs come with OPC UA server functionality. To use this functionality an additional runtime license is required for each CPU.
