Question, how do we connect our PC to Siemens S71200 that has been installed and programmed? I would like to configure the full access and download the program without creating new project in TIA Portal

Hi,

If the preconditions are met, it is possible to upload the program from the cpu.
Afterwards you can implement the changes and download the hw-config into the cpu again.

If it is an "older" S7-1200, there may be limitations, some older CPUs does not support the complete upload including hw-config.

Furthermore, there are preconditions for the used versions of TIA

What options are available in STEP 7 (TIA Portal) for uploading when the project version in the CPU no longer matches the version on your PG/PC?

If the case that the PLC has been loaded with program and I want to configure & download the program without adding devices.. does it possible?
