Could you please expand on your doubt.

The suggestion offered by @alizon is the instance of the DB. It does exactly what you asked. Or perhaps there is some other requirement that we do not yet know about.

Please revisit the offered suggestion once again. Notice that the datatype of the incoming tag is the FB name.. just like you would have used an IEC_TIMER. If it still does not meet your requirement, please tell our volunteers what we do not know yet.

If your DB cannot be converted to a single UDT that includes ALL the data in the DB so you can pass that single DB tag as the input, you may want to consider simply passing the DB # and using PEEK to capture data from the DB.

Or, an FB pre-processor that accepts data from the DB and scatters it into a UDT for you.

Does the FB have a side-effect of modifying the DB data (like an InOut FB param would allow)?

Hello Friends.

I'm in need of opening a DB inside a FB

I want to send the DB as Input parameter and then open it in side of the FB as shown on the attached image.

Can any one Help me to make this work?

I've Tryed Pointer, Optimized and non Optimized....

 If your concern is that I created an "FC_Test" instead of "FB_Test", you can rest assured that it will still work if you make it an FB instead. Please try it out and let us know what difficulties you're facing. The most important part is the datatype of the "Data" input.
