Hello all.
I have a simmilar problem when converting a value that I get from a Epson scara robot.
I get the following value from the robot to ID616: 16#8B36_3AC0 which should be the position of the Z axis that is -2.90958.

I tried to move ID616 do a Dword variable and then move it to Real but I get the following value:

2.46967E-18

I tried to swap words but it's still not ok.

Any help would be great. thanks

Using the web page mentioned in the original post:

Notice how the hexadecimal representation looks like. Now compare with what you have.  So.. how did you swap the 'words'? Reconsider using a byte swapping method. You could use the SWAP_DWORD() instruction.
