The text extracted from the button tooltips will serve as the name for the archived tag value which will be displayed. My code is in description. "ValueX" and "ValueY" are internal text tags. Problem is that I can't delete previously selected trend, or operations with chars are not valid. Help is more than welcomed. Attachment STRNCAT.TXT (240 Downloads)

I worse case it could cause a crash of Script.exe or PDLTR.exe. You should it use like following: int len = strlen(Xex) + strlen(Yex) + 1: Zex = SysMalloc(len); Zex=strcat(Xex,Yex); //Zex=Xex+Yex The same by the line: Z=strcat(X,Y); //Z=X+Y Next you have an error in following line: SetTagChar("TrendX", GetPropChar("lpszPictureName","lpszObjectName","Tooltiptext")); by lpszPictureName and lpszObjectName you don't need "". It should be so: SetTagChar("TrendX", GetPropChar(lpszPictureName,lpszObjectName,"Tooltiptext")); Next you write the TrendX WinCC Tag and in next line read the value of TrendX. Here is the C-Script faster as writing of the Tag, so you read the old value in 99%. You can use one of following Workarounds: 1. char* help; int len; help = GetPropChar(lpszPictureName,lpszObjectName,"Tooltiptext"); SetTagChar("TrendX", help); len = strlen(help) +1; X = SysMalloc(len); strcpy(X, help); //******************** 2.
