hamza995 Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	i have wincc 7.5 and modbus tcp device connected to it the output value from modbus devicce is 1995 i want to desiplay the output in the wincc runtime in io field in the format 199.5 and how to add unit like MW also i want to display 1995 as 199.5 MW how to do that in detailed steps please

To do this, access its properties in the tag management tab. A part dedicated to the scaling of the analog signal should appear. Take a look at this link.

Murof Platinum Expert Joined: 8/3/2009 Last visit: 9/12/2025 Posts: 16409 Rating: (1935)	Hello hamza995 You do not only to make a linear scaling (this is only one step for the calculation) To show the value in a Floating Point view you have to create in your tag management a Floating Point Tag and do a Format Adaption for example FloatToUnsignedDWord or similar (depends on your original Datatype) Then the Tag is used in WinCC As Float and after the Communication Driver as an Integer or what ever you use a dataformat Bye Murof

Is that right? But further details will be appreciated. Specially taking into account what would be the range for a Floating-point number?? Sergio
