FB34 not going in monitor mode.

nazeer.khan Posts: 14 Rating: (0)	Dear All, i have 2 pump logic blocks FB33 and FB34, when i open FB33 and going in monitor mode it is ok. but in FB34 monitor mode is not getting ON. please tell what is wrong.FB33 and FB34 has a same logic except pump no. there is nothing in diagnostic buffers of CPU,s.

Have a look in the bottom left hand corner of the LAD/FBD/STL Editor window when you go online in FB 34, if it says something like "the statements are not processed" it means that the FB is NOT being called. So How to call the block and monitor the things. The connected CPU is ON and plant is running. This FB34 is particularly for one of the pumps. Pl. suggest me further steps to go ONLINE. That's why I think I found the STAT_OUT of the block is 0 . Now I have to run this pump and monitor. Regards, nazeer

umencho Grandmaster Joined: 3/21/2006 Last visit: 1/10/2026 Posts: 10247 Rating: (1183)	Hi nazeer, Just open OB1, push Monitor (on/off) button (to check first if you have current version of this block), then deselect this bitton, make new network and push (Alt+F9) combination. (In case if you select LAD view). In this way you'll incert empty box. Write FB34 on the top of the box. Sytem will ask you for instance DB and you should to assign this DB. If you didn't generate this block to this moment, just give some spare number (DBxx) and confirm that you want system to generate this DB. If you have this DB, assign it and be sure that you downloaded it also in CPU. Then Save and Download to CPU. Be careful, your logic after download could start this pump immediately. Regards, nazeer Suppose that you have FC1 in your blocks and you call FB34 in it. And all inputs/outputs of this FB are correctlly assigned. Then go to OB1. Call FC1 there. In STL you can create a new network, and write down the followng: Call FC1 Then download all blocks to the CPU It will work. Regards,

For expample I did modification in FB26 and when I am saving, it is showing one column FB14 , BOOL red. How to rectifiy it.

If your modified software contains adding / modifing,one or more DBs, and The CPU will go to stop mode if you have downloaded OB1 first. Thus because in this moment, The CPU call a non existingDB / not valid address in an existing DB. 2. If your modified software contains adding, one or more DBs, you can download the new DBs first and then download FB that calls this DB and then download the OB1 and The CPU won't go in stop mode. 3. If your modified software containsdeleting one or more DBs, and The CPU will not go to stop mode if you have downloaded OB1 first as the DB is still exist in the load memory but it's not used. After that all, I do recommend to download the whole program at the first time that you can make the CPU goes to stop mode. Regards,
