Simulation Questions

AutoGen_2117162 Joined: 1/15/2024 Last visit: 8/18/2025 Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	I want to perform two types of simulations using TIA Portal V19 and PLCSIM Advanced V6.0: I-Device simulation and S7-1500R/H redundancy simulation. However, issues have occurred with each simulation. I would appreciate it if you could explain these issues or provide relevant materials. I-Device In the case of the I-Device, the IO Device settings, Transfer Area configuration, and the MAC Address in the Network View's I/O Communication are all properly configured. However, even when the data length and format are correctly matched, the data is not being transmitted. Redundancy In the case of CPU redundancy, the Primary CPU downloads successfully, but when trying to download to the Backup CPU, it prompts to 'Show compatible devices.' However, I cannot find a way to configure this setting. I would greatly appreciate your help. Since I am using a translator to ask this question, I apologize if there are any translation errors. Thank you.

itafusna Gold Member Joined: 2/17/2020 Last visit: 1/16/2026 Posts: 1251 Rating: (237)	Hi, As far as the S7-1500R/H is concerned, please note that by default (simulating or with real hardware), the project data is downloaded to the primary CPU. You need right-click to select the S7-1500R/H system in the project tree, and when the "Extended download" dialog appears, the "Select target device" table will show both CPUs in the S7-1500R/H system and their roles. However, the primary CPU should already be selected.
