Hi

I am not able to print a Report with my Comfort panel TP1500 with Brother Printer QL-820NWB using the Comfort panel USB port.

The report has been configured using TIA Portal V15 and an event has been assigned to a pushbutton for printing.  (PrintReport - Report1)

I followed the Siemens printer compatibility selection tool and selected the QL650TD (which after contacting Brother is no longer available). Their technical support suggested the QL-820NWB as a direct replacement. Using Portal, ProSave I transferred the driver QL650TD to HMI to get access to the DK roll properties setting.

I configured the printer settings in HMI and the DK roll settings on the HMI desktop.

The printer itself also has 3 types of command mode which I am not sure how to use : P-touch template, ESC/P or Raster.

I was able to print on USB port with my PC, but not with the Comfort Panel.

Need help.

Since it works on the PC, but not on the Comfort Panel, the USB device may not meet the HMI system requirements:

I am also in the dilemma for which printer to use as a replacement for the QL-650.

Did you try enabling autocut in the DKRollProperties, and selecting B5 papersize in the printer properties? 

That's the settings we have been using for the QL-650.

Looking forward to finally finding a printer that works. The QL-700 sure dont.
