Hi,

I have a KTP900F Mobile HMI which has an Emergency Stop located on top.

I also have a Compact HMI Connection Box (6AV2 125-2AE03-0AX0).

There is no file in the hardware catalogue for the Compact HMI Connection Box (but there is for the Standard and Advanced boxes).

Can I still use the E-Stop functionality with the "Compact" version?

I found the following text if it helps:

The “Standard” and “Advanced” connection boxes require a “GSDML file”. There is no “GSDML file” for the “Compact” connection box, as it does not include any active PROFINET components.

I'm using TIA Portal and not using a hard wired solution, I will use the E-stop over Profisafe instead.

In this case, do you recommend that I use the Standard version GSD from the hardware catalogue with my Compact connection box?

I think, since the Compact box that I have has no active components, I should be able to work without using any GSD file at all, is that also correct?

Hello

The Compact Box has no own Entry in Hardware catalouge you can use the Stardad Box instead.

But Its important that we know if you use the F PLC in the Classic (Step7 V5.X ) or in TIA Portal ????

(If you use it in Classic world then you can only use Hard wired solution, then you do not need the Box in the HW Config of the PLC, only if you do it in TIA and use Profisafe)
