KTP400 cannot be edited in TIA 20 after creation by TIA 19 and is displayed as not supported, otherwise everything else works ?

 As you can read in the following section of the manual, some firmware versions are not supported, so you won't be able to upgrade the project:

If it's "not fully supported"  I think that you'll be able to upgrade the project, although the device won't appear in the hardware catalogue.

It depends on which KTP400 you  use. There is a 1st and a 2nd Generation device that has this name

both should be usable in TIA v20:

1st Generation:

2nd Generation:

-> so check if you device has in V19 the latest Image Version you can choose and which is shown in teh Screenshots above
