The user-programmable technology module S7-1500 TM FAST offers the user the option of programming the function of the module for specific applications. For this purpose, an application is created using the Intel® Quartus® Prime engineering tool chain from Intel and loaded into the TM FAST. There, the program is processed in an FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array). The user has direct access to the digital inputs and outputs.
