I just bought, downloaded and installed Wincc Comfort v20 earlier today. I see that WinCC appears to be a part of the TIA Portal but when I open the TIA Portal everything on the left is greyed out except for “Start” and “Online & Diagnostics”. So, I opened ALM and the only license listed has a License Type of “Trial”, a License number of all 0s and a Validity time of 0 out of 21 days. I checked on the Siemens Online Software Delivery website and it says I have a license with an actual number listed as a part of the software download and that the download has been completed already. In ALM I go to “License Key” > “Offline Transer” > "Activate License Key(s)" > “Load”    I navigate to my downloads folder where all of the install stuff is and it shows no files are there. I have also tried the update option and check option none of which seems to help.

Please help if you can.

  A trial license cannot be restored if already  used on a pc for 21 days. A floating license with the Number of License Key column = 0, is restored only by opening a service request with technical support. Else, you need to provide a screenshot showing the ALM licenses on the C:\ so your issue is more clear.
