Hello everyone,

I'm running into a persistent issue when attempting to install PLCSIM Advanced V6.0 on a Windows 11 Pro system.

The installation fails with the following error:

"Installed Release found: V07.00.00.01.01.11.00.06. Your Release is V06.00.00.00.68.01.00.03"

Despite this, I do not see any version of PLCSIM Advanced V7.0 listed in Programs and Features, and I’m unable to locate any uninstall path (e.g., MSI product code) that I could use with msiexec /x.

Some additional background:

• The installation wizard exits with error code 1603 (as shown in the attached InstallationReport.txt).
• There is also an existing installation of PLCSIM Advanced V3.0 Upd2, which cannot be removed either. Attempting to launch it results in PLCSIM Advanced V7.0 Upd1 being started instead.
• I’ve tried multiple third-party uninstaller tools and Siemens Setup tools, but none can detect or remove the hidden V7.0 installation.
• I attempted uninstallation through the original setup bundles for both V3.0 and V7.0, but these either fail silently or do not resolve the version conflict.

Has anyone encountered a similar issue?
Any suggestions on how to:

1. Cleanly remove all hidden traces of PLCSIM Advanced V7.0, and/or
2. Force the installationof an older version like V6.0 over a ghosted V7.0?

Any help would be much appreciated.

search in the registry for the version string and delete the key
