I have tia portal v16 on VM (.100) and plcsim advanced 4.0 on host (.99).

When choosing accessible node from tia portal, only host shows up as SIMATIC-PC. Never the plcsim advanced instance i created with same IP as host. Seems a connection is tried though:

you have to use for the PLCSim Advanced virtual ethernet adapter an IP Address in the same subnet as the PC´s ethernet adapter where it is installed but not the same IP! it has to be another free one (it should also not be the IP the simulated PLC gets). Also in the Networksettings of the hosts networkcard you have to activate the PLC Sim Advanced virtual Switch
