amateur Posts: 145 Rating: (3)	We want to operate a S7-400H system, with 2 CP443 and 1 CP1613 to the SIMATIC PC station where we have installed WinCC V6.2 SP2. The OS is Win XP Pro SP2. As the manual says, we must install S7-REDCONNECT. So, we have the following questions : 1. where can we find which version of S7-Redconnect is suitable for us? 2. Because we want to have a better overview of this software package, from where can we download the manual of S7-Redconnect? What else do we have to consider about the software prerequisites? Thanks in advance for your time

amateur Posts: 145 Rating: (3)	Thanks for the link and the pdf, @ rit03, In the suggested link says the following : "You need a second CP1613 and the "POWERPACK S7 REDCONNECT" software package to be able to operate this PC properly with an H system in a redundant network (redundant system bus)" However in the attached picture taken from the manual "Fault-tolerant ssystems S7-400H" shows that we don't need two CP1613. So, is there any idea if we should choose two or one CP1613 for the abovementioned configuration? with regards Attachment Redundancy with fault-tolerant system & redundant bus system.JPG (98 Downloads)

RedConnect needed to switch CP1613 over CP443-1 plc card when a connection fails. You can use nr.1 CP1613 for simple redundant connectio or nr.2 CP1613 for fullredundant connection, dependswhatis better for you.. Regards
