WinCC Runtime Freeze??

Bastie_NL Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	Hi all, I´ve got a problem with my WinCC Runtime. After starting the runtime it looks like the runtime freezed. Error messages aren´t displayed and even the buttons in the bottom of the screen won´t work. Closing the runtime only works if I use the stop button in the WinCC Explorer. The connection between WinCC and the PLC is a named connection and has work earlier in Runtime. Has anyone got an idea of what the problem might be?? Phantom75 Posts: 2661 Rating: (279)	@V_Turmel, from the screenshot I would say the version is PCS7 V7.1. @Bastie_NL, the most common cause for this behavior (in my experience) is if you do not run the OS Project Editor in WinCC after creating the project. Also, I am curious why there are no plant hierarchy entries on the top? Regards

Bastie_NL Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	@V_Turmel: I´m running PCS7 V7.1 @Phantom75: We have configured the OS project editor after creating the project and it worked at that point. @ABN: We´re using the Broadcom card on a ISO protocol. The connection looks fine, there are no errors or warnings. In Simatic Shell we also selected this card for the communication. There´s one more thing I forgot. The runtime has worked, only after adding a Batch application the runtime stopped working correctly. Deleting the batch application doesn´t solve the problem. Maybe some settings changed??

ABN Posts: 212 Rating: (12)	This observation indicates that the issue may because of batch (I understand you are talking about Simatic Batch). I guess you need to checkthe compatibility of Batch and latest updates available for simatic batch.

Bastie_NL Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	Just checkedthe compatibility of Batch and thelatest updates available for simatic batch. The latest version are installed on the PC station. I found the problem in themeanwhile. Apparently something is wrong in the SQL server. I copied the Project to another PC station and it worked fine in runtime. The plant hierarchy etc is working again. So I think I just have to reinstall the SQL server. Anyway thanks for the help!
