Prevent simultaneous active users in WinCC (6.2)

Bartman Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	Hi, For a project in a high voltage substation, we have 1 WinCC server and 2 WinCC clients (without own project). As is common in HV substations, we want to prevent simultaneous active users. Meaning that if Operator 1 is for example logged in on the server, we want to at least show a warning when Operator 2 logs in on one of the clients (or even trigger an automatic logout of Operator 1). WinCC 6.2 has no built-in option for this. We were informed that SIMATIC Login doesn't prevent simultaneous users on different machines either. So we want to create a mechanism for this in VBA, but by using as much as possible the built-in command dialogs and login dialogs. My questions: 1. Any general ideas on how to do this or even examples? 2. Is there a VBA counterpart to the C-script login dialog call (...#pragma code ("useadmin.dll"),...) 3. Are there VBA counterparts for the C-scripts PWRTSilentLogin/-out ("Login","Password") 4. Does the C-script login dialog only manipulate the tag @CurrentUser? Many thanks in advance, Bartman

But for your "main" problem, have a look at CBo's suggestion in the following thread: User enabling from the Client (via C-Scripting) I hope there will beinputs from othermembersin this interesting thread! I have often had to use both the 'press' and 'release' functions of buttons to ensure certain things happen in order.
