I want to install Step7 Manager V5.4 SP3 on Windows7 operated PC, Does anybody tried to install it.
Please, I need help it is very important to me.

I have try to install under windows 7 but i cant able to install.

as Siemens is not officially release the version for Step7,because of that I have installed under Windows XP prof. SP3(official downgrade from Windows 7). & for couple of month I am not going to try the Windows 7 till it tested successfully.

Basically you are right. For the moment Windows 7 isn't compatible with Step7. But even Windows 7 isn't release yet.(The general release version of Windows 7 will be available on October 22, 2009). So, if you don't want to use virtual XP version, separate windows for Siemens software, you could try

download and install the msi tool orca http://www.technipages.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/11/orca.Msi
edit setup.msi into hd image (no dvd) ...\CD_1\STEP7\Disk1 search ControlCondition DLG_InstallationRequirements and change Disable to Enable;
make the same in all setup.msi ; install and click in Ignore buttom now enabled.

And remember, also be careful, this trick run it at your own risk...

Or other vise we have to work on Windows XP or Vista till the Siemens release the compatible version for Step 7 which will work with Windows 7.
