OS updat on a TP170B

ATMega128 Posts: 50 Rating: (5)	Hi all, I work with WinCC flexible 2005+HF1 and a TP170B got an error : The "version of the device" and the version of the operation system of the device are not compatible ...... Updated the OS in the pannel with the Mobile_OP_TP170B_V6_2.img file sucessfully. Did a device status : Image version : B 6.0.2.23 Tried to transfer the project again, but still have the error : the version of the device and the version of the device are not compatible Any help ??

After update version should be 7.1....Look at WinCC Flex Update. And What connections are there between the version designations in WinCC flexible? Best regards, Hristo Mihalev

ATMega128 Posts: 50 Rating: (5)	UMENCHO, There is only one image file you can choose in the directory with image files in WinCC. How can i take the wrong one ? In the project you can choose between 2 versions. If you choose the wrong one -> everything is greyed out ( you can't transfer, do a device status, or OS update). I took the one where nothing is greyed out and did an OS update. After the OS update : when doing a device status : image file : B 6.0.0.2.23 Also the same reading in the pannel : B 6.0.0.2.23 not 7.1;..... If that's the wrong image file, where can i find and download the right one ? Kind Regards Johan

Because you use WinCC flexible, you should have image version B7.x.x. (Like UMENCHO already mentioned) When you perform an OS update, it will open Prosave. Then there is a directory where you find the images. I guess you are looking in a Directory of Protool. Please use the button Browse (or ...) to select the right directory WinCC flexible images. Then you will find the image version B7.x.x. Best regards, Wizard
