saathiksyed Posts: 36 Rating: (0)	DEAR GUYS. WE HAVE RECEIVE ONE MACHINE WITH CPU222 PLC. THIS PLC WORKING WITH TD200, I TRIED TO COMMUNICATE WITH THIS PLC AND MY PC, IT IS NOT COMMUNICATING. BUT MY PC IS WORKING WITH OTHER S7-200 PLC. SO I AM SURE MY PC COMMUNICATION SETUP IS GOOD. KIDLY ADVICE ME HOW TO COMMUNICATE WITH ABOVE MENTIONED PLS.

Saravana kumar Gold Member Joined: 2/6/2009 Last visit: 9/1/2025 Posts: 940 Rating: (119)	Dearsaathiksye The below points to be checked whilecommunicatingwith a S7 200 CPU for the first time. > Always connect to Port 0. > Use only PC/PPI cable (not USB MPIAdapter) for the establishment of communication first time and after the initial setup you can use USB adapter. > Set the Baud rate to low. (9.6 KBPS ) > Keep the Communication Time out as high (30 / 100 Sec) If you have Simatic Field PG it is so easy to establish the communication. Revert Back for any clarification.

Aristotelis Posts: 147 Rating: (34)	Hi It also helps to put the CPU to STOP mode. In Micro/WIN, when you press Communications, you can also check the "Search all baud rates" box. Although I haven't tried it in the TD200, (only in TD 100C) if you go to the settings screen (press ESC) of your TD you can see the TD address, CPU address and the baud rate. Then you can use this info to connect, as well as avoiding MPI address conflicts. Check your PPI cable. There are some DIP switches on the side, be sure to be in the correct position. Check your RS232 port, If you have more than one, be sure to define the correct number. Hope this helps.
