Acknowledge alarms from template button

AppeltaartD Posts: 76 Rating: (6)	Kind users, I'm working on a simple TP177 B 6" Colour. I got 4 screens and I can switch to them without any problems. I got a button bar that I made in my template and fucntioning fine. One of the screens contains an alarm view. And I want to acknowledge the alarms using a button on my template, I found the function:AlarmViewAcknowledgeAlarm. The problem is I can't select my alarm view wich is used for the acknowledge. It seems I can only use this function when a button is programmed with it on the same screen as the alarm view is. Is it possible to get the functionAlarmViewAcknowledgeAlarm on my template screen? I realize that with this function its possible to acknowledge alarms without seeing them and compromizes safety but my customer wishes to be able to reset the alarms while in the main screen. The reason for it that there are only 12 alarms and all can be seen in the surrounding of the TP as its mounted near the machine its operating. Looking forward to your replies. From the template you can reach alarm views from normal screens with this function. If you use this function you must mark the alarm in the alarm view also or the alarm wouldn`t acknowledge. best regards.

From the template you can reach alarm views from normal screens with this function. I'm not sure I'm getting the project a alarm view at the template part. You mean open a screen that uses the template and has the alarm view? Or put a alarm view in the template screen? If you look at my screenshot I attaced you can see I can't use the function on my template. I'm still missing something here could you explain ita bit clearer?

AppeltaartD Posts: 76 Rating: (6)	Yeah I tried the acknowledge from PLC but I couldn't connect the PLC ackn bit to every single alarm. I gave all alarms the same acknowledge group so it might have worked if I just configured one though, did not try that. I found a solution myself though, its not pretty but it works. I did put the alarm view on the template and connected my screen bit to the visibility of it and I only make it visible when I open my alarm screen. When I use the acknowldge function now I can use it in every screen I want and the alarms get acknowledged. Thanks for your input, AppeltaartD
