Chilly_Garfield Posts: 316 Rating: (37)	Hi marosko, you have to convert the word into dword. Then you can convert the dword into real. y:=DWORD_TO_REAL(WORD_TO_DWORD(x)) Do you want to convert the whole vector? If yes, use a loop... - ... in SCL use While, Until or for loop - ... in STL use jumps.

dchartier Grandmaster-Expert Joined: 9/27/2006 Last visit: 1/21/2026 Posts: 12481 Rating: (2722)	Hello marosko; If you want to use LAD, then I suggest you: 1) Move the Word value into a INT register (either a MWxx register that has been attributed a INT datatype in the symbol table, or a DBxx.DBWyy register which you have designated as an INT); 2) use a I_Dint conversion instruction on that last register and send it to a DINT register; 3) use a D_Real conversion instruction on that latest register and send itto another register, this one formatted as a REAL. Now you will finally have the original value as a REAL. I know it seems complicated but only a DINT can be directly converted to a floating-point value.So you must go through all the steps, and use a lot of intermediary registers. Go back a few posts, you have STL and SCL codesuggestions; SCL can easily use a FOR..NEXT loop to run through your array, or in STL you can use LAR1 pointers for indirect addressingand the loop instruction (look for other threads on the subject using the Search box at the right of this page).
