Wincc Flex 2005 upgrade to 2008 SP2 under Win7 not working

aikona Posts: 487 Rating: (36)	Hi We hit a little snag .We got a Wincc flexible Standard 2005 full CD and after that upgrades upto 2008 SP2 .Now we want to install on Win 7 but it always installs the Advanced for PC version without giving me an option. Problem is with the standard you don't need a license ( becuase only works on OP/TP's) and now when its start it want a license. Any idea how we can install the standard only ... or am I doing something else wrong somewhere. Eric

It will start a Trial license for WinCC flexible Advanced. (See Automation License Manager) You will have to use the right Floating License. (in your case WinCC flexible 2008 Standard License). If you have one, transfer it to hard disk. Or provide use a Screenshot of Automation License Manager. Best regards, Wizard

Best regards, Wizard After the install on the first start-up of wincc flexible it asks for the advanced license or to start the 14 day trial license , to which I said yes and now the advanced trail license is started and it does not see the 2008 standard license , you can also not move the trail license ...will wait till trail runs out and see what happens then.

When the Trial license is expired it will use the WinCC flexible Standard license. how can you deactivate the Trial License when the message appears indicating that the Trial License has expired, although the Floating License has been installed?
