What isdifferencebetween simatics S5 and simatics S500/S505? Or more like, is there any relation between them or is it completely different product lines?

aikona Posts: 487 Rating: (36)	Hi Simatic TI505 is a PLC which siemens ' received' when they bought texas instruments ( If my memory serve me correctly)The S7 200 is also a non siemens PLC Siemens started the PLC range with S3 ( S31 , S32 ) then S5 (S5 101 ,115 etc) thenthe S7 range and now ....S7 1200
