misak_s Advanced Member Joined: 6/13/2010 Last visit: 11/8/2024 Posts: 35 Rating: (0)	dear all, i want to change some things in a 95U with eprom fitted . i have uploaded the code, made all necessary changes and as download the cpu goes to stop and i cant start it . any suggestions what I'm doing wrong?

Otherwise your changes will be lost after power off / on. When your cpu doesn't start up you have to check the i-stack of the cpu using Step5. In i-stack you will find the cause of plc stop detailed to the block always showing rel adr. "0". If you want to find out the detailed address of cpu stop you need to check "status block" on that block and restart the cpu. After the next cpu stop you 'll find the detailed address in i-stack. misak_s Advanced Member Joined: 6/13/2010 Last visit: 11/8/2024 Posts: 35 Rating: (0)	thank you for the replay, attached i have the i stack and i cant understand what i see! i have done the following. i removed the eprom ,download the new code and immediately the cpu went in stop without the ability to start again. next I've done a complit restart with memory reset, placed the eprom ,copy the eprome to cpu ,start up all ok ! with old program then i download the modified program and again the same cpu in stop !!!. i need only to change some outputs Attachment Full page fax print.pdf (394 Downloads)

The i-stack you provided doesn't show any problems in your program because that program hasn't started yet. There may be a problem in the DB1. Did you change that? Good luck

If you have not yet touched EPROM data then you can definitely give overall reset and your system can run without changes. If so, your new code segment is creating trouble for CPU. Can you put the snap of the new code and relevant data to it. That would help us tothink right direction. Additionally, what S5 are you using? The ISTACK is looking quite different in your attachment. It normally shows up the reasons for an event in tabular format with blue background color.
