The application that I am developing controls an oil battery and the client wants to use the panel to keep historical of the process variables and the alarms that are generated. Rounding there are approximately 40 analogical signs and approximately 80 digitalises. At present, the panel has a 512 MB compactFlash (6av6 574-2ac00-2aa1), an empty slot for a memory SD and two earnings USB where they can get connected a pendrive. The problem that I am having is that I cannot keep historical with Compact Flash. When I want to extinguish the panel or go out of the runtime, the panel remains hanging and asks me to begin it again, when I it do all the information they get lost. Also with the card the historical ones are not updated or are late very much. It would seem to have problems to record and to erase the card. I do not have all these problems when I keep historical in a pendrive connected to the port USB, nevertheless, the client he does not like this option for the theft risk. He would need to know specifically: 1. The kept one can one improve of historical in the compact flash or is not it thought for this application? 2. Since the variables quantity is big: Is it possible to connect a compact flash of major capacity? is it possible to connect any card or does it need to be formatted for siemens? with 512 mb how long can I keep information of a variable muestreándola every 5 seconds? 3. Because it does not allow me to close the runtime of the panel when I keep information in the compact flash.? (I tried already closing the files and stopping the kept one before going out of the application) 4. What is the biggest capacity of sd that can get connected? Which external storage locations are available on the various operator panels (WinCC flexible/ProTool) for archiving data? How are tags and alarms logged in WinCC flexible? From the manual: Note The HMI devices are suitable for the logging of relatively small volumes of data. Manage the data in several adjacent archives in a segmented circular log.
