how can I understand defect encoder with step7

Jazz_M Posts: 1121 Rating: (86)	Hi Well how have you connected your encoder, By hardwire to your CPU 313 C Cpu. then you can get only the channel diagnostic by using the Error OB and Module error Ob's. For the Healthy status of the encoder you need to connect it via Profibus or other protocol so that you can get the Slave diagnostics. In which case your controller will not have a profibus port. I think there must be some OB or SFB for to understand encoder's one phase lost or phase angle is bad. I don't know whic OB usefull for this problem and how can I use it?
