Dan Smith3 Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	I am new to analog programming. I am trying to self teach myself as best I can with the help of others. I've got a decent understanding of 300/400 basic digital programming. The typical press button to turn this on / seal in / outputs / memory / data blocks etc. However now I am moving to analog and I want to start with something simple and basic. I want to press a pushbutton and have a 4-20ma valve open slowly until it is open fully. Then be able to press a pushbutton and then the vavle will close slowly until closed. The amount of time to change from open to close or the other way around is irrelevent as long as it can be changed in the program. Could anyone upload an example of what I am talking about so that I may be able to further my understanding of this concept?

Hello, I recommend working on a practical issue rather than some imaginary problem solving.I suggest PID controller (FB41) as a sample on a semi- complex state of art function block.All you need (Samples) could be found with details: HD_PID Control Package - FB41 Samples For your project,you can use the function block(FB67) proposed by me here. The point would be allow increment or decrement when binary signal is active.Timing could be adjusted with OB3X you call the function in , parameters such as factor and step.This will give you a variable between 0 to 100 and can be scaled for AO module by using FC106(UNSCALE).
