Hello, I recommend working on a practical issue rather than some imaginary problem solving.I suggest PID controller (FB41) as a sample on a semi- complex state of art function block.All you need (Samples) could be found with details: HD_PID Control Package - FB41 Samples For your project,you can use the function block(FB67) proposed by me here. The point would be allow increment or decrement when binary signal is active.Timing could be adjusted with OB3X you call the function in , parameters such as factor and step.This will give you a variable between 0 to 100 and can be scaled for AO module by using FC106(UNSCALE).
