DP/DP coupler

Sometimes the cpu goes down because off a fallout of the DP coupler. Is it possible (using software) to find out if the problem is between the cpu and DP coupler, or between the coupler and the client device In the module information, diagnostic buffer I have the event ID #3942, this is refering to the DP/DP module. In the DP/DP communication with the client, there are signals used for the production. When the clock (garding the communication stops) the production is stoped. This bit is used in combination with the emergency relais. The relais stops the production. In my question I said the cpu stops, this was overdone, the production stops. Using the software I want to find out if the error is one the cpu side, or on the client side Jan

EDL AUTOMATION Posts: 51 Rating: (24)	During Shut Down time, plan for an detail check. By Removing the Profibus cable - between Cpu and client side Dp/Dp coupler. Check one by one and try to find the solution.
