PROFIBUS comm problem

Device communicates with PLC via profibus DVP1 protocol. So, PLC -> device cyclic telegram every 500ms (130 bytes) device responds with 228 bytes of data and so on. Im trying to use DPWR_DAT and DPRD_DAT with no success... it seems like data is being sent, but i get no response... Ill attach screenshots . maybe someone can help? I would not start with all the modules inserted. Try one module to test if and how it works, then insert more to see if it still works. Note: maybe you can tell us what device you have there, or even better a link to a manual. The more information we have the more we can help. Regards, Marcjan

adamix Regular Member Joined: 8/9/2013 Last visit: 1/8/2025 Posts: 15 Rating: (0)	my DP link is integrated with the CPU (CPU315-2PN/DP) so my cpu acts as a master under address 1, device on other side is under address #2. Trust me, no one really knows about that device, its called LJU DKZ, busmaster system. its a data concentrator for 480V+ servo motor drives. No specific "how to " initialize connection manual available. Only documentation i have is a map of all bytes in each data telegram. Ive programmed it in rslogix and melsoft software before, just cant get siemens to work... I have a EDS file available, from there i got all input and output address. problem is i just cant establish connection. Is there another way to send a single 130byte msg instead of using DPWR_DAT?? Ill try removing any additional input cards on the PLC.

Thanks Adam please correct me if I'm wrong but DPWR_DAT and DPRD_DA think this functions are availabe to read and write consistent data to the cylic communication.
