My experiance with the simulator: lot of features I need to simulate are not possible with the simulator (freeport, Ethernet, modem, ....) Siemens told me It is possible to develop a simulator but to support all features I need to simulate it would be a very complex tool and at the end it would be to expensive so nobody would pay for it. My decission in this case is: It is allmost cheaper to use a PLC and check the program with it. In this case I can be sure it works. In this case I like the S7-200 because the different PLC are nearly 100% compatible. Regards Helmut
