Hello, following the link for the manual: http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/de/49086091/0/en You chose the ALM depend on the required power. Normally you don`t need a capacitor module, if you use a ALM. For special applications (for example flying shear), it make sense to store the energy in the DC- link. The rotary energy you can calculate with 1/2*J*(w1²-w2²) and the stored energy in the DC- link with 1/2*C*(Vmax²-Vmin²). Depend on the motors (for example with 1PH8) a max. DC- link voltage of 720V is possible. We calculate with a min. Voltage of 580V (depend on the line supply). If you need for example 100mF for storageing energy, we have special capacitors too. |
