now i want to set the axis's positionto be 1000(mm).it is a liner real axis (absolute encoder)

i can use :

_homing(

axis :=axis_1,

homingmode :=SET_OFFSET_OF_ABSOLUTE_ENCODER_BY_POSITION,

homepositiontype :=direct,

homeposition :=1000

mergemode :=immediately

nextcommand :=immediately);

this function can do as i want.

but now can i use another function to do it as below?

_redefinposition(

axis :=axis_1,

redefinespecification :=command_value,

redefinemode:=absolute,

position :=1000

nextcommand :=immedately）；

if i can't use this ,and then why ?

if i can use this, and then what's the difference between thetwo ways?

Hello,

absoluteencoderadjustment will be stored and after power off/on you don't loose it.


You loose the change of _redefine position after _restart axis and after power off/on.

you mean if i use _homing the poition will save,even i turn on/off the machine,it will not disappear.

but, if i use _redefineposition the position will disappear when i turn on/off the machine?
