S120 (CU320) and telegram 352?

uel123 Gold Member Joined: 1/29/2006 Last visit: 8/16/2025 Posts: 451 Rating: (65)	Hi! I am commissioning a S120 drive system, with CU320-DP, fw. 4602135 (= readout in r18; probably it is 4.6?). I have a Infeed + 5 axes (all induction motors, 4 of them with encoders, one sensorless). They all have to work without positioning, only in closed loop speed control mode. PLC programmer had planned to work with telegram 352 (6/6 PZD) for each drive (and 377, 5/8PZD for CU). But, funny thing: starter does not offer me those telegram types.... For axes, only telegrams 1,2,3,4,5,6,102,103,105,106,116,118,125,126,138,220 and 999 (Free with BICO) are offered. For CU, only telegrams 390 up to 395 + 999 are offered.... . What am I missing here? Where are other telegram types, according to documentation??? Sincerely yours! uel123.

When you will insert a new Drive Object (check the attachment), you can modify the driver object type from Servo to Vector, then you can insert the telegram 352 for the Drive Object. In the Servo mode can not insert the telegram 352. But you can find the telegrams that are used in thisdocumentation, start onpg. 1805. Hope this help you. Regards. But now, another "problem": - if I insert a new DO of type VECTOR, and then go on with configuring, at first step (Control type) starter offers me only V/F control modes, but I need sensorless vector control on 1 drive and closed-loop speed control on other 4 drives... . It is a litle bit strange to me. Sincerely yours! uel123.

We can work with Servo mode and V\F without problem, but if we work with Servo and Vector mode, I think that is not good idea, because this situation is not good for the performance of the CU320. So, for me the best way for this, we can create a new project or delete all the Driver Objects and Create or Insert all Driver Objects in Vector mode. Please read the CU320_performance_sinamics-engineering-manual-v6-1. Which CF card do you have? Whithout performance expansion ou Whith performance expansion? In the attachment file there are a documentation CU320_performance_sinamics-engineering-manual-v6-1 and a example project, for make this tests I am using Starter V4.3.3.0 Hope this help you. Regards. I checked the CF card, and it is with performance extension, so that 5 (servo or vector) axes are not a problem. I left the axes in servo mode and addopted desired telegram "by hand" with BICO settings. For now, every thing seems to work OK. "Full load" test is planned for next week, I will see than, what will happen. But, as I said, for now all OK. Sincerely yours! uel123.
