Is there a way to map an image of the keyboard in the PLC memory or in some other user data area?

F12 ] keys of an external keyboard attached to the MP 370 Touch panel over USB interface. The idea is to change screens as well as perform different functions and calculations depending on the function key pressed. The Panel is being programmed with Win CC flexible Standard version. Is it possible to recognise the event of "key pressed" for an external keyboard?? Thanks and regards, Bhaskaran a similar question about keyboards with WinCC Flex I am developing an HMI application with WinCC Flex 2005 Advanced SP1+ HF7 PC based, remake of an old DOS application I haveNO touchscreen but just ordinary PC with keyboard and mouse, and in the operating environment where the line will be installed the mouse is not easy to use, so I need to allow the operator to use the keyboard as much as possible I used standard Fx softkeys for page selection, but I need more softkeys, I would like to use A, B, C, D, ....etc, normal keys as softkeys for manual commands, and more Is there a way to map an image of the keyboard in the PLC memory or in some other user data area? (as it was in Protool, I mean..) any advice will be highly appreciated. I have no much time left for developing best regards

(as it was in Protool, I mean..) ....? i think, what you can do under ProTool this will also be work in flexible (the most of them). But i think, it is not possible to map an image for the keyboard. regards, PS: I found a faq, where you can simualte the Keys on the PC => http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/21382137 (maybe its a help)

I referred to Simati HMI Communication User Manual 6AV3991–1BC06–0AD0 (this is the italian version) Edizione 11/97 see chapter 14.3.1 as in attached picture A keyboard image existed with old OP27 for example I do not know if and how it could be done with Windows based panels or PC anyway we found a smart trick to solve the problem redirecting the alphanumeric keys to Fx and Shitft-Fx keys by means of an external .exe program in this way we can associate a max of 24 keys per page and link them to VBscripts or standard WinCC functions bye Attachment keyboard_image.JPG (176 Downloads)
