Hi guys,

I am not very familiar with SCL and making a couple of test programs. When I run this simple WHILE function on PLCsim the sim freezes and stops working. I attached the code for the WHILE block. This has happened on a couple of other blocks as well maybe I doing something wrong.

You may check, if your "while" results in an endless Loop?

Usually, there are no problems with SCL using PLCSIM.

BTW what kind of CPU?

As others suspected, you have created an infinite loop.

If you do this, the CPU busily executes your loop over and over without doing anything else.

You must ensure that your loop terminates in a very short time.

it's infinite loop if the involved condition inside brackets is not met. The code may be from the manual but you also need to check variable behaviour. I suggest yout to remove while loop and monitor what happens with your condition statement.
