I have spent long time trying to find ANYTHING about the Siemens S7 Grid Control that is available even in PCS7 v7. Attached piece of code demonstrates how to use that grid control and how to adjust column width.

I quickly got the "Simatic Step 7 Grid Control" to display the data from a ADO-Recordset.

However I'm missing the Property-Name for the Selected-Row. Does anyone know something.

I also tried using MS Listview v6 but on Runtime 2008SP3 -> Instant Crash.

If anyone has sucessfuly used other List-Controls, I'd be happy to hear about it.

Update: By Trial/Error and sheer LuckI managed to find the property I was looking for...

I couldn't find adirect SelectedRowNr-Property thouch, but there is at least somthing like

an IsSelected-Property.

For Rows: Grid1.GetRow(i).Selected

For Colums: Grid1.GetColumn(i).Selected

With this you can at least find the selected RowNumber this way...

I tried using MS Listview v6 or MS Flexgrid. But on WinFlex 2008SP3 they crash/don't work. I also tried pretty much every free Listview/Gridcontrol the Web offers to no avail. Most of them just crash the Runtime. It's frustrating. Why won't Siemens give us some proper Form-Objects? Is there any signs of decent List-Control in TIA?

Well with the "Step 7 Grid Control" I achieved at least the minimum i needed. See attachment.
