Is this STL logic the same as the LAD logic?

It seems like the A( in beginning of the Statement list is redundant.

Yes the two networks are completely identical. The A( you think redundant makes it easier to understand code and makes it more structured. Also in some cases, it makes it possible to change view of code from STL to LAD or FBD.

 Thanks.  The STL that I listed would not convert to LAD because of the A( at the beginning.  I much prefer LAD to  understand.  I know there are times where STL is more efficient and preferred.  This way of writing STL only prevented it to convert to LAD.  I created my own LAD based on the STL and according to you it will work.  Thanks for that!

 I assumed they had an O inside the parentheses but later removed it.  That is the only reason I can understand it would be there.  The following is my LAD converted to STL and it seems much more structured with only "and" logic in that portion of the STL.
