I´m having trouble with a G120C controlled via Profibus.

My client wants to switch between local and remote control mode using the HMI, the problem is that when I give the control to the BOP, I still have to press the HAND button to enable operation, and if I want to switch back to remote I have to press again the HAND button to disable the BOP. This is undesirable for my client.

I have tried  with the parameters p806 and r807 but they just block and monitor the HAND mode, respectively, but I need a way to automatically enable the HAND when switching to Local mode.

By the way, my system is a controller S7-300, an HMI TP-1200 and a driver G120 connected via Profibus. The only means of control are the HMI panel and the BOP.

Hi,

You can also have selector switch and push button (Start/Stop) for local and remote application. You can take this push button and selector switch combination to drive panel or to field. You can also have Local/Remote control from HMI along with start and stop buttons. Since application is not mentioned i am considering jog/maintenance application in local mode.  

HMI can also be directly connected to drive. Attached is file for reference
