Hello,

I'm concerned that I can only choose one control method on the V20 Inverter. I am using USS communication (which works well), but I can't seem to find any way to additionally configure a digital input as a stop as part of our safety circuit.

In the event of an error, I'm sending a stop signal to the V20 via USS, which works well. But if the PLC or the RS485 connection went down for any reason, the operator could potentially reach into the guarding and the motor wouldn't stop. This is a serious condition (loss of limb/death) that should be prevented.

I tried configuring P0701 as OFF3, but it seems that having P0700 set to 5 overrides this behaviour.

I don't particularly want to run a separate contactor between the inverter and motor to kill the power, it seems a bit of a bodge for something that should be a function of the inverter.

Any thoughts?

If I'm Guessing Right Means After Communication Failure B/W PLC And Drive Means Drive Will Go To Fault Mode Automatically(Because of Master Not Available)
