Hello everybody, I'm working on application where have to communicate simotion d 425-2, Tia portal 13 SP1, with s7314C2pn/DP, Step 7. Communication is in Profinet. Simotion D is the IO Controller, so in Step 7, declared 314 ad IO-device, declared exchange word, created gsd file. In Tia I have imported the gsd file. I have changed, to better understand, the address as the address of the gsd file. Strange thing, ip address of gsd file is not the same of the cpu 314C. I downloaded in simotion D and in 314c the respective hardware configuration. The problem is that is not working at now, the communication doesn't have faults but in the exchange words the values are zero, despite i have changed the values in each side. What is wrong?

- the ip address different by 314C and the gsd file result? In tia is possible to change the address of the exchange words but not the ip address. The names are the same.

- Is possible to have simotion D IO controller or it must be io-device only?

In the past i worked with f cpu and simotion D all in step 7 but simotion D was the io-device.

BOTH PLC ARE IN RUN MODE. THE PROBLEM IS NO DATA EXCHANGE.

I TESTED BEFORE SIMOTION AS IO-DEVICE AND AFTER IO-CONTROLLER, BUT NOTHING CHANGE.

IF I CHANGE THE IO DEVICE NAME THE RESULT IS THAT IN THE ADDRESS LIST IN SCOUT I SEE IN THE AVAILABILITY "NO EXIST" IN THE EXCHANGE WORD. IF I PUT THE RIGHT NAME THIS PROBLEM DISAPPEAR AND HAVE "NO ERROR" BUT THE DATA IS NOT EXCHANGED. 

iS THE FIST TIME FOR ME TO MANAGE IO-DEVICE VIA STEP 7 AND TIA MIXED BUT I THINK SHOULD WORK.
