I was trying to install gsd file for "DC303 remote I/Os" from "Smar.com", but it gives me this message: - the file "Smar0dca.gsd" contains syntax errors. I've contact Smar support team and they confirm that the gsd file should works fine. I use Step7 V5.5 SP2 HF4, and i tried with another PC station with Step7 V5.5 SP3 but it gives the same message. please see the gsd file in the attachment. Thanks Duris, and sorry for the lack of information, but let me introduce our system: It is S7-400 with CPU "6ES7-407-0KR00-0AA0", and DP/PA Coupler IM153 "6ES7 153-2BA82-0XB0" connected on Profibus DP with transmission rate 1.5 Mbps coupling with profibus PA with 45.45 Kbps transmission rate. We have two devices connected to profibus PA line: Endress & Hauser Level Transmitter "FMU40", and Smar remote I/O "DC303". I could connect many instruments to that network and have them communicating online except the Smar DC303 unit, I have tried all the ways to make it online but no success. you can find attached the steps that I toke to connect to the DC303 unit.
