Precondition to be done before installing Antivirus in Server

We are having 2 servers and 4 clients with 1 engineering station. Its used in a process plant. We are using "Windows 2008 R2"- Server and clients. The server includes the PCS7 8.1 SP1 setup. And, Clients having WinCC Runtime. Now, I'm using Engineering station to download the programs. All the server-client configuration done. Project folders are routed through network sharing. Now, I want to install Microsoft Office, Antivirus into that. So, Kindly suggest me the procedures and preconditions to go for. What are all the things do I need to check before installing them to get my system status remains same? Because I heard of that there are some precondition to install Antivirus. Just to keep my client projects remain healthy in communication with the server.

Then, It will be better if I get to know about... What are all the changes I have to do with Firewall? What are all the changes I have to do with user groups? Will it block my network sharing features which is working fine now? Its all about before installing the antivirus and after installing the antivirus. Just for your information. I got the antivirus software. selection of antivirus is not my question.
